婚禮策劃師道生（黃子華 飾）因婚禮市場(chǎng)蕭條而債臺(tái)高筑，被迫改行成為葬禮經(jīng)紀(jì)人。紅白二事大相徑庭，令道生處處碰壁，但最難一關(guān)是要得到喃嘸師傅文哥（許冠文 飾）的認(rèn)可。起初因?yàn)槔砟畈缓希郎c文哥沖突不斷，兩人的關(guān)系岌岌可危。但數(shù)次危難時(shí)刻文哥的出手相助，以及親歷文哥與女兒文玥（衛(wèi)詩雅 飾）的相處點(diǎn)滴，道生與文哥之間的心結(jié)慢慢解開，也逐漸悟到“破地獄”的真正意義。
